Practice Nurses

The practice nurses are available by appointment. They can help you with minor injuries, dressings, injections, removal of stitches, ear syringing, blood tests etc.

Our nurses have undertaken specialist training and also offer family planning, diabetes, asthma and hypertension clinics. They can advise on and administer both travel and children’s immunisations. They are also involved in health promotion activities within the surgery and offer well person health checks, smear tests and general advise. They undertake special projects called audits to evaluate the services offered. We encourage our patients to have vaccinations for flu every year, usually at the end of September or the beginning of October. Please ring early in September to make an appointment with our nurses for advice.
